STUDENT FREE DAY

Our first Student Free Day for 2020 will be held on Friday March 6th. All staff from the 5 Primary Schools in our Holdfast Bay Partnership will be meeting to undertake professional development focussing on ‘the impact of student feedback to improve learning outcomes’. Students do not attend school on this day. OSHC will function if the prescribed number of students  are enrolled for the day.

Each year schools are able to hold 4 Student Free Days (SFD) and one School Closure Day (at Brighton, this is always in Show Week). The purpose of a SFD is to enable all staff to meet to undertake quality training and development focussing on a particular area, or to undertake whole school planning. The remaining SFDs for this year  will be finalised this week and a proposal put to our newly elected Governing Council for ratification at our week 8 meeting. There are no SFDs in term 2.
