Pyjama Day – Last Day of Term

We are holding a ‘Pyjama Day’ in support of Backpacks 4 SA Kids, next Friday 5th July, the last day of Term 2.

This will be a fantastic way to finish off the term!

It is a school expectation that all pajamas are weather and length appropriate. Those students that aren’t well covered will have parents contacted to bring in suitable clothing. We also require all students to be in normal school footwear (eg: no ugg boots or slippers) for safety issues.

As we are raising money for the Backpacks 4 SA Kids foundation a gold coin donation is expected if you are wearing your pyjamas.

For those of you that don’t know what Backpacks 4 SA Kids is, it is a foundation that works across South Australia, in conjunction with child welfare, child protection, family violence and homelessness agencies, and organisations such as SAPOL who have responsibility for removing vulnerable children from unsafe homes and assisting those made homeless as a result of family conflict. They provide as many displaced children as possible with an age-appropriate backpack containing a range of items including two sets of clothes (four for the babies), pajamas, underwear, socks, toiletries and comfort items (such as a cuddle toy), a book and a toy, colouring pencils and colouring books for the younger kids and some school stationery supplies for the older ones, plus nappies, bottles, a dummy etc for babies.

Please find attached some flyers about Pyjama Day. For more information please refer to their website.
