Congratulations Mack!

Mack M from 6.1 was the lucky winner in the Mix 102.3 Jodi and Soda’s Rock star Kid competition.

Mack and his mum will be picked up from his home in a Limo to catch a helicopter to school on Tuesday morning.  The Channel 7 helicopter will then be landing on our school’s oval at approximately 8.40am.  Mack and students in 6.1 will also be provided with breakfast as well!

The Mix team will be on our school oval with activities and games from 8.15am, so we would love  all families to come along and support Mack.

From a safety perspective it is critical that families/students follow these protocols:

  • Students on site with parents from 8:15am, are under family/parent supervision.
  • All students are asked to sit behind the cones/barriers and at no stage are permitted to cross the barrier towards the cricket pitch. The seating for students and families will be approximately 20 metres east of our new playground.
  • Mix 102.3 will have some games that students can engage in. These will be managed by the Mix 102.3 ‘Street Crew’ and will conclude at 8:30am. These will take place between the seated students and our new playground.
  • The helicopter will arrive from the north at approximately 8:40am landing 50 metres from the assembled students/families. Mack Morgan, his mum Nicky and ‘Soda’ will walk towards the assembled students where they will be greeted by his friends.
  • There will be no access onto the oval from Highet Avenue, except the far western gate, located adjacent to the staff carpark. Access to our school from Highet Avenue will either be through this gate, or the gate adjacent to our school crossing.

There is no doubt that this will be an exciting event for Mack, his mum Nicky, 6.1 and all students and families in attendance. HOWEVER, it is critical that EVERYONE follows the above safety protocols and act sensibly at all times. I look forward to a fun, ‘incident free’ beginning to our 2019 school year.

Ian
